Once you're on the Dispatch page you’ll see how easy it is to dispatch and assign Work Orders.

Let's go ahead and unpack how the dispatch tool works and how it ensures a simple yet effective way to schedule and assign your work orders all in one,

1) The purpose of Dispatch

Dispatch allows you to schedule and assign all in one vs scheduling with someone.

Dispatch is used for quickly in the week moving around work orders for scheduling and used mostly for “real-time” vs schedule is used for weeks out scheduling.

  • Work Orders to the left that need to be dispatched

  • Calendar to the right where you will drag and drop Weekly or Daily)

  • You can also make a new Work Order in the upper right corner

Where to create a new Work Order when in Dispatch:

To move work orders on the Dispatch schedule:

(Drag and Drop from left panel to calendar)

And when in the calendar you can drag and drop to another time or worker:

To add a collaborator:

Click on the work order on the dispatch calendar

This will open up the work order where you can add a collaborator here:

Once added it will show up on the calendar for them also:

2. Search capabilities on Dispatch

There are several search tools on the Dispatch page. These include:

Free form search field to drill down:

Status:

Event Type:

There’s a search bar above the Calendar which provides you with searches for items such as:

  • Record-(Clients, Projects)

  • Resource-(Team, Users, Unassigned)

  • Event-(Office Work Order, Field Work Order, Appointment & Reminder)

  • Status-(Status of the Work Order)

  • More-(Labels, Priority)

3. Creating and Saving a Smart View on Schedule

You can create and see your Smart Views in the upper right hand corner of the Dispatch page:

Once you click on views you’ll see your Smart Views and the ability to create a new one:

To create a new Smart View click on Save Smart View to save the parameters you have just set on your search:

You’ll be presented the following options:

  • New or Replace Existing

  • The ability to have a set emoji for the view

  • What you want to name the view

  • Options for who has the ability to view (Everyone, You, Teams/Roles)

Once you’ve made your selections, hit “Save”

4. Live updates

There is an activity feed to the right of the calendar to see the latest dispatch activity:
